Prague Campus
The main campus of Czech College is located in Zizkov, Prague. The sprawling campus is well equipped with modern classrooms and facilities for students and staff. Prague is the capital and the largest city of the Czech Republic (part of erstwhile Czechoslovakia).
It is the 14th largest city in the European Union. It is also the historical capital of Bohemia. Situated in the northwestern part of the country on the Vltava River, the city is home to about 1.3 million people; its larger urban zone is estimated to have a population of nearly 2 million. The city has a temperate oceanic climate with warm summers and chilly winters.
Prague has been a political, cultural and economic hub of central Europe with changing fortunes during its 1,100 years of existence. Founded in the Romanesque era, Prague flourished during the Gothic and Renaissance eras. The city was not only the capital of the Czech state, but also the seat of two Holy Roman emperors and thus the capital of the Holy Roman Empire. It was an important city to the Habsburg monarchy and its Austro-Hungarian empire. After World War I, it became the capital of Czechoslovakia. Prague played major roles in the Protestant Reformation, the Thirty Years’ War and during both World Wars. It was significant during the post-war Communist era as well.
Prague is home to a number of famous cultural attractions, many of which survived the violence and destruction of 20th century Europe. The main attractions include the Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, the Jewish quarter, Lennon Wall and Petřín hill. In 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague was included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
The city boasts of more than 10 major museums along with numerous theaters, galleries, cinemas and other historical exhibits. A modern public transportation system connects the city. Also, it is home to a wide range of public and private schools, including the Charles University. Prague is classified as an alpha global city according to GaWC studies. Its rich history makes it a popular tourist destination – as of 2011, the city was recorded to receive over 4.4 million international visitors annually. In 2011, Prague was the sixth most-visited city in Europe.
UAE Campus
The first International Branch Campus (IBC) of Czech College is located in the United Arab Emirates.
In recent years, UAE has acquired international recognition as an education hub considering study costs, employment prospects and optimum location. The UAE model was used as a success story – it has key advantages including a cost of living lower than countries like the USA, Australia, Canada and European countries, as well as close proximity to home countries of many students. UAE has now become a popular tourist destination with its world-class infrastructure and hotel industry. It has also captured international attention thanks to the number of IBCs it houses.
In UAE, Czech College offers all the business education programmes offered at the Prague campus . Students also have the flexibility of shifting between campuses at their discretion.
Czech College in association with Success Point delivers all our programs from the School of Business in UAE Campus.
The primary appeal for students choosing to study in UAE is that we facilitate campus interviews by all major companies and help all our students get placements in UAE.
The campus is situated inside the India Trade and Exhibition Centre at one of the rapidly developing locations along the Sharjah-Dubai border. The close proximity of our campus to the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce makes it easier for our students to interact with major business giants in UAE.
