Students and teachers of Shaoxing University, China visited Czech College on 1 February, 2018 and participated in an interactive session on Leadership and Management competencies. The group of twenty two students and two teachers spent two weeks in Czech Republic, making visits to different cities, and experiencing Czech cuisine and culture.
Jana Smerdova, lecturer of business and management at Czech College lead the interactive session on Leadership and management competencies. The session included group exercises in which students identified and listed their leadership and management skills, and also listed the skills they wanted to attain. Students also expressed their opinion on the differences between the teaching methodologies practised in China and their perception of teaching in Europe. Some of the students expressed their interest to pursue their higher studies in the Czech Republic.
Last year, Shaoxing University and Czech College entered into a memorandum of understanding for educational and research cooperation and to facilitate exchange programs and short-term courses between the two institutions. Established in 1909, Shaoxing University offers programs in language, medicine, science & engineering and economics & management and is a preferred university for international students from around the world.
