The costs of an MBA vary across different business schools, different programmes, and different countries. In this article we want to examine what makes up these costs and how you should do your calculations if you are considering starting an MBA.

There are many more Business Schools in Europe that gives very affordable and quality business degrees. For example, Czech Republic has got some of the finest Business Schools in all of Europe . But there are many other countries that has a very high tuition fee and living expenses. In this article we plan to cover both.

The differences are huge and it is very hard to assess the quality of the programme by the tuition fee. A low tuition fee does not necessarily indicate a low quality of education, just as a high one does not guarantee it. A good idea is to check the accreditation of the programme from different institutions . Accreditation from two or 3  institutions of reputation is a good indicator of high quality.

The investment difference between European and American business schools is significant. If you were to get admitted to Harvard or Wharton, you would spend approximately US$ 91,000 or $ 90,000 for your tuition fees alone. In sharp contrast, if you were admitted to INSEAD, IMD or IE, you would spend $ 64,500, $ 53,000 or $515,500 respectively (London Business School is an exception as their MBA programme is two years long; your tuition at the LBS is a whopping $ 95,000).
