Europe is among many students’ top choice of where to study abroad and it’s easy to see why.

With a wide range of academic areas available, European institutions are some of the best in the world. Many of the universities are ranked in the top 100 in the world and all boast state-of-the art facilities, cutting-edge research, and knowledgeable professors.

When you study in Europe it’s easy to travel! The entire continent is just a bit larger in size than the United States and has about the same number of countries as the United States has states. With an incredible network of trains, buses, and inexpensive flight options, you’ll be able to easily travel the continent during your time abroad.

You can take classes in English or immerse yourself in a completely new language and culture while you study in Europe. It is generally seen that the most sought after programmes are offered in English. In all, there are over 4000 Higher Education Institutions in Europe offering a wide range of courses at Bachelor, Masters and Doctorate level. With more and more of these institutions introducing English as the language of instruction for at least some of their degree programs, universities in Europe are now better placed than ever before to offer a warm welcome to international students and to deliver a course of study that meets their career needs in today’s global market. This is particularly noticeable at graduate level: the number of English-taught Masters in mainland Europe has increased massively from just over 1000 in 2007 to over 5000 today. Degree courses taught in English are available in a huge array of disciplines from Business and Economics (currently the most popular, representing about 28% of English-taught Masters in Europe) to Engineering, Life Sciences (including medicine), Social Sciences and Humanities subjects.

Students can also begin or improve on their German, Italian, Greek, Czech, and Dutch language skills. While you study in Europe you can also get involved in a variety of clubs and organizations on campus. It’s easy to meet and befriend locals!
